I was born in Yekaterinburg, it is my __1____city. Yekaterinburg is one of the
largest cities of the Russian Federation. It is an administrative __2__of the
Sverdlovsk Region and the Ural Federal District. Nowadays the city is an
important centre of industry, transport, science and culture. The city was

border of Europe and Asia.
Modern Yekaterinburg is one of the major industrial centres of Russia,

Yekaterinburg is a modern city in Russia, and a large industrial and
cultural centre of the Ural Federal District. Most of all (больше всего)
I like to walk in Yekaterinburg parks. My favorite park is near the
Ural Federal University. I sometimes go to the Drama House with
mum. My city is especially beautiful in summer.

Когда употребляется определенный
артикль the?
Where is the book? – The book is on the table.
Где книга? Книга на столе. (Собеседникам известна книга)
I see a girl in the room. The girl is about 7 years old.
Я вижу девочку в комнате. Девочке около 7 лет.(Речь идет о
конкретной девочке во втором предложении или нет?)
He is the best student in the group.
Он лучший студент в группе.
The Russian Federation Российская Федерация
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
Соединённое Королевство Великобритании и Северной Ирландии
The Moon, the Earth Луна, Земля
