Opening Scene
Description of Scene: This is an introduction of each character (YuHuan and Sam) of who we were at the time.
Sam and Yu-Huan both receive a text message at the same time
from their friends. Sam gets one from Simon and Yu-Huan gets one
from Barry.
Simon’s message: Hey! 1oclock for coffee?
Barry’s message: Babes is it okay if I bring other people to coffee?
We both said a version of “no problem.”
(fade to black)
After chilling in the café for a little while, Sam invited Yu-Huan and
Barry for a night out in Taipei and they said yes.
Background: Samuel = Office
Yu-Huan = Hotel lobby

Scene 1

Description of Scene: The four of us arrive at the bar and
start chatting and getting to know each other. Then Sam
invited Yu-Huan and her friend to a bar the same day.
Sam and Yu-Huan really start to get along and Sam decides
that he wants to get to know her more. So he cracks a lot of
jokes until another woman starts talking to him which made
Yu-Huan lose slight interest. He was distracted but quickly
redeemed himself and focused his attention back to Yuhuan.
Bar name: Roxy
In the end, Yu-Huan is very interested in Sam but waits for
him to ask for her number. A cab arrives at the end of the
night and Sam sees Yu-Huan off. She says (Mini Game)
“Thanks for a great night” and then Sam was faced two
choices, one, Ask for her number and two, chicken out
(which he was seriously considering, chickening out).
Background: Bar.

Scene movements:

(Mini-Game) When Sam focuses his attention back on
Yu-Huan, Sam wants to be using a gun but instead of
bullets, it’ll be “topics” and coloured pink. He’ll be
shooting these bullets at Yu-Huan and when the bullets
hit they burst pink glitter (as a sign that Yu-Huan likes
these topics).

style.

Scene 2
• Description of Scene: Samuel and
Yu-Huan sit at the café and talked for ages.
Talked about our favourite tv shows and movies
in depth. Our past relationships, our friends
and families. We both agreed looking back on
the first date, it was really comfortable and
easy going.
From then, we continued to have a lot of dates
like these ones but only difference is we started
watching a lot of movies together and watched
them till sunrise. Endless debates and discussions
over the plot and meaning of the movie.
After some time we decided to start dating and
see where it goes.

Scene 3
• Description of Scene: After some
time in Taiwan together, Yu-huan had already
decided that she was going back to Australia. It
was a difficult decision for Samuel because he
didn’t want break up, but he also wasn’t sure if
he wanted to uproot his life for someone he
just started dating.
After Samuel saw her ticket back to Australia, he
decided to take a leap of faith and buy one too.
He wanted to see where this goes. After taking
the leap of faith we both head to Australia
together – tickets in hand.

- (Mini-Game) Samuel versus a monster called
“Difficult Decision.” Sam coming out victorious.

Scene 4
• Description of Scene: The two of them
arrive to Australia and faced a lot of challenges as
a couple, commitment issues, life goals,
communication and trust. These were the biggest
challenges both of them were facing, they both
had trouble overcoming these problems and were
close to calling it quits.
But then, only when they were both most
vulnerable, they could both open up and be brutally
honest with each other. They worked not only on
their relationship but also their friendship.
• Background: Australian outback
• Characters: 2 + 4 monsters.
• Scene movements:
-
(Mini-Game) Sam and Yu-Huan fight the
monsters; Commitment Issue, Life Goals,
Communication and Trust, solo at first but as they
were about to admit defeat, they joined forces
and defeated all the monsters. When the
monsters are defeated and piled up, they all start
glow and merge into one – the being represents
compromise

Scene 5
• Description of Scene: After facing
all the challenges together, two doors appeared
in front of them.
Both doors are coloured grey and the door on the
left said “Move in together” and the one of the
right says “Long distance Relationship.”
Sam doesn’t hesitate, opens the left door and
walks right through and the door closes. Yu-Huan
walks towards a door, grips the handle but stops
her movements, she’s hesitating. This choice here
could be the best or the worst and she starts to
question by slowly letting go of the door handle.
But she doesn’t want to give in to the fear, she
bravely grips the door handle and charges
through the door.

Scene 6
• Description of Scene: Sam decides
that he wants to propose and has to select a
ring. He looked through many rings but none of
them stood out to him – until he finally found
one.
He popped the question when they reached to
the top of Hiroshima Castle and Yu-Huan said yes.
• Background: Hiroshima Castle
• Characters: 2 + 1 monster
• Scene movements:
- When Sam searches for a ring, he shoots down
the square, oval and multi-coloured diamond
rings.
- Sam gears up with Mega man’s weapon,
shooting at the Diamond monster.

Scene 7 + 8
• Description of Scene: After the
proposal, spotlight fade to black, to the
wedding where Sam and Yu-Huan get married
(1).
• Spotlight fade to black once more, but instead
we’re both carrying a baby. Fin
• Background: Wedding venue (1) and
family pic ending = artist choice.
