Denisova Cave
Denisova Cave was
discovered in 1926 by
the artist Nicholas
Roerich. The beginning
of archaeological
excavations was laid in

Sciences took up the
research. The age of the
most ancient finds is 48
thousand years. Today,
the remains of the
disappeared subspecies
of man — Denisovan —
are kept in the museums
of Biysk and Novosibirsk,
and the cave is a tourist
attraction.
