Definitions
A test, in simple terms, is a method of measuring a
person’s ability, knowledge, or performance in a given
domain. (H.D. Brown, 2004)
In language education, assessment refers to the
systematic process of evaluating and measuring
collected data and information on students’ language
knowledge, understanding, and ability in order to
improve their language learning and development (C.
Coombe, 2018)
