5.

Why be a Volunteer?
It's not for money,
It’s not for fame.
It's not for any personal gain.
It's just for love of fellowman.
It's just to send a helping hand.
It's just to give a tithe of self.
That's something you can't buy with wealth.
It's not medals won with pride.
It's for that feeling deep inside.
It's that reward down in your heart.
It's that feeling that you've been a part.
Of helping others far and near,
That makes you be a Volunteer!

(1) Volunteering is one of the natural human resources and we can say it exists since the
beginning of humanity. Natural aspiration of people is to promote themselves and their communities
and to help each other. It has always existed in different informal and half-formal shapes.
(2) Volunteering can mean different things to different people, depending on their cultural,
political and social worldview. Volunteering, as defined and identified in general practice, mostly
relies on so-called constructions of “doing good” and giving community.
(3) According to the modern worldview, volunteering doesn't just mean give their resources
(time, energy...). Without financial compensation, this engagement also implies a sense of altruism
and service to community. Volunteering in the literature is described as one of the key social
determiner of civil society, i.e. civic virtue contributing to the community development, builds a sense
of solidarity, contributes to building social and human potential and initiates changes in society.
(4) Volunteering is defined as a voluntary investment of personal time, effort, knowledge and
skills that perform services or activities for the benefit of another person or for the common benefit,
and a person in accordance with the law of his country, without the existence of a payment and
