• Russia is a large and mysterious country that stretches across many
time zones and climates. The national feature is the beauty of its
nature. The Russian landscape varies from deep lakes to tall
mountains.

Lake Baikal
• Lake Baikal in Russia is the deepest lake and has the largest volume of
fresh water in the world. So, it`s the main symbol of Siberia. Besides,
it`s famous for its flora and fauna. There`re about thousands of living
organisms, including 27 types of fish that live only in it.

The valley of geysers
• It`s one of the biggest geyser fields in the world. This valley is located
in the north of Kamchatka. The geysers are between the rocks and
rocky hills. Moreover, here live many bears. In fact, valley of Geysers
was found in 1941. It is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site
"UNESCO".

Karelia
• Karelia is often called the “land of forests and
lakes.” Over half of the region is wooded, and 40
percent of the land is covered with lakes and
rivers. This amazing fact makes Karelia a popular
place for outdoor adventures. Perhaps the most
famous place in Karelia is the Ruskeala mining
park, which is famous for its crystal waterfalls.

Elbrus
• Mount Elbrus, located in the Caucasus, isn`t actually an active
volcano. It is the highest mountain in Russia. So, Elbrus is often called
the highest European mountain and we can found it at the list of
«Seven peaks».
