The Factory was founded in 1932 in
Semenov town, Nizhniy Novgorod
area, Russia.
The Factory specializes in the
production of hand-made wooden
souvenir – matryoshka

PRODUCTION
PROCESS
All process are done manually:
turning, painting and covering with
varnish.
For already one hundred years the
tradition of the painting style have
been unseparately bringing from old
to young generations

In 1951 the product of the Factory had been
exhibited in London.
Then, since 1953, the export of over sixty
thousand pieces of matryoshka per year had
begun to European and Asian countries.

collaboration with Anantara Kihavah Maldives Resort&Spa in 2021 and shows the traditional Maldivian dress
(women’s and men’s) and some features of the Hotel: Astronomic observatory, corral riffs and palms.
