Chaildhood
Rowling was born to Peter James Rowling, a Rolls-Royce engineer, and Ann Rowling (née Volan) on 31 July 1965 in Yate in
Gloucestershire, England. Rowling studied in St Michael's primary school. It has been suggested that the headmaster,
Alfred Dunn, became the prototype of the headmaster of Harry Potter-Albus Dumbledore.
In childhood, Rowling often wrote fantasy stories that she usually read to her sister. When she was a teenager, her greataunt gave her a very old edition of Jessica Mitford's autobiography. Mitford became a heroine for Rowling, and she read
all of her books.
Rowling was in high school Vidin, where her mother worked in the science Department. As Rowling said: "Hermione with
the know-it-all character is based on me.» She had a difficult home life; her mother was ill, and Rowling had a difficult
relationship with her father. Rowling was the head girl at the school. Before going to University, she studied English, French
and German, passing exams for two excellent grades and one good.
About her teenage years,
Rowling said in an interview with
The New Yorker: "I wasn't very
happy. I think it's a terrible time
of life»

how to achieved success
At the age of 18, the young Rowling failed the entrance exams to Oxford and entered the less
prestigious University of Exeter. Here she continued to be interested in literature and read so
much that she was once fined 50 pounds for overdue books from the University library.
In 1995, Rowling completed her manuscript of the novel "Harry Potter and the philosopher's
stone", which she typed on an old typewriter.
The book was sent to twelve publishers, but they
all rejected the manuscript. A year later, he finally
received the green light (and an advance of £
1,500) from the editor of Bloomsbury's London
publishing house, Barry Cunningham. Rowling's
decision to publish this book is largely due to Alice
Newton, the eight-year-old daughter of the
Bloomsbury Chairman, who gave to read, and who
immediately demanded a continue.

The novel "Harry Potter and the deathly Hallows" was released on July 21, 2007
and broke the record of its predecessor as the fastest-selling book of all time. It
sold 11 million copies on its first day in the UK and the US. Rowling became the
first person to win the Smarties award three times in a row.
Now, Harry Potter is a global brand valued at $ 15 billion. The last four Harry
Potter books have consistently set records as the best-selling books in history.
The series of books totaling 4,195 pages has been translated, in whole or in part,
into 65 languages. It was also recognized that the Harry Potter books sparked
interest in reading among young people at a time when children were believed
to have abandoned books in favor of computers and television.
In June 2011, Rowling declared that all Harry Potter-related material would be
collected in a new Pottermore web project. The project's website contains
18,000 words of additional information about characters, places and objects in
the Harry Potter universe. In April 2012, after launching the site, Rowling
confirmed that she had begun work on an encyclopedia about the Harry Potter
universe and would donate all royalties to charity.

personal qualities of Joan
Rowling, who was a single mother herself, runs the Gingerbread charity. In
collaboration with Sarah brown, Rowling wrote a book of children's stories
to raise funds for One Parent Families.
JK Rowling is a very funny and responsive person. She's a
smart, responsible writer. But despite the success she
has achieved, she remains a modest and kind woman.

I have chosen J.K.Rowling
For me, JK Rowling is more than
just a writer. She gave a magical
world to me and many other
people. I really like the story of a
boy who survived and I can not call
it a children's story, because it is
much more than an ordinary
boring story. Rowling is living it,
and fans are enjoying her work
more and more every day. Rowling
inspires and gives hope, teaches to
love, not to give up, to be loyal and
brave. For this, you can adore JK
Rowling.
