11. Preliminary conclusions
New A2B6 – A4B6 photodiode and LED, being combined withFPI, opens new and revolutionary possibilities for mass gas
detection.
(1)Serious increasing of detectivity and selectivity in comparison
to MIPEX-02…-04 sensors (NDIR method), opens the possibility
to get markets of fixed and portables for detecting of VOCs.
(2)Serious increasing of detectivity and selectivity in comparison
to MIPEX-02…-04 sensors (NDIR method), opens the possibility
to get markets of portables for leak detecting (with ppm
sensitivity to CH4, selective)
(3)Serious increasing of selectivity in comparison to MIPEX-02…04 sensors (NDIR method), opens the possibility to get markets
of fixed and portables for detecting of LEL of complicate gas
mixtures of HC gases (real flammable sensor). Including 2 and 3
years CLIPs (disposable) 4-gas instruments.
12. Detectivity
(1) Application of FPI based A2B6-A4B6 PDs give thepossibility to increase the sensitivity of simple
and low cost optical method up to:
(a) not less than 4 ppm of CH4 at the optical path
length of less than 10 sm (MIPEX-02 have 6sm)
(b) not less than 1 ppm of C3H8 and heavier HC
This opens the possibility to get markets of fixed
and portables for detecting of VOCs and leak
detectors
13. Selectivity
(2) Application of FPI based A2B6-A4B6 PDs give the possibilityto increase the selectivity of simple and low cost optical method
and:
(a) For VOCs detection to make more correct detection of
mixtures methane – ethane – alkanes – aromatics in vol % and
mg/L
(b) For leak detectors to select methane from ethane and to
select natural gas from biogas
(c) For detectors of mixture of HC to make more correct
detection of mixtures methane – ethane – alkanes – aromatics
in LEL
This opens the possibility to get markets of instruments for
detecting of VOCs, leak detectors and “real flammable”detectors
