Childhood
• Paustovsky was born in
1892 and died in 1968.
As a child, he lived with
his grandmother sinse
his parents divorced. In
1914, the young man
decided to return to his
family, and for some
tive worked as a
conductor.

The war years
• At the beginning of the
First World War, the
author was drafted into
the army, but he was
not fit for health
reasons, both of his
brothers died at the
front. After their death,
the writer decided to
travel
around
the
country. In 1916, he
went to the sea of Azov,
where he could fish.

Creation
• The first work of the
writer was published in
the famous magazine
"Lights". In 1916, he left
for Taganrog, where he
began to write his
famous work
"Romantics", it took
Konstantin a lot of time
to write this book. The
novel was published
only in 1935.

Death
• Konstantin suffered
from asthma all his life,
and in the last years of
his life it became
especially acute. Until
the last days,
Paustovsky remained a
fighter for his cause
