Plot
The film takes place between February 12 and March 24, 1945.
The main character of the film, Standartenfuhrer Max Otto von
Stirlitz (Soviet intelligence officer Colonel Maxim Maksimovich
Isaev) works in the SD. He receives a task from the Center to
identify and disrupt the planned separate negotiations between
the Reich and the Western allies.

Stirlitz's work in the SD arouses suspicion in the head of the RSHA Ernst
Kaltenbrunner. Kaltenbrunner instructs the head of the Gestapo, Muller, to
conduct a check on Stirlitz. He, in turn, entrusts this work to his
subordinates Holtoff and an old friend of Stirlitz — Eisman.

The history of the creation of the series
This series, consisting of 12 episodes with a total running time of
14 hours, began filming in 1970, filming took place in cities such
as Moscow, Berlin, Riga, Maysen and Tbilisi. The series was
based on the book of the same name by Julian Semenov, with
Tatiana Lioznova in the director's chair.

My opinion
I liked the series, although it can be called a bit long, especially
the first 3 episodes, but after them the most interesting begins. I
can safely recommend this series!
