INTRODUCTION
Switzerland has one of the most
stable and prosperous economy in
the world. It is known for its highly
skilled workforce, high standard of
living, and strong financial sector.
The Swiss economy is
characterized by a mix of industry,
services, and agriculture.

Industrial sector
Watches
Tourism
Mechanical engineering,
electrical equipment and
metallurgyaccounts for
18% of GDP. In addition,
this sector ranks second
in Switzerland in terms of
exports among various
industries.
The watch industry
ranks third in terms of
exports among other
industries, the share in
GDP is 1.5%. 95 % of
Swiss watch exports are
wristwatches.
The total financial
volume associated with
tourism, including
transportation, is
estimated to CHF 35.5
billion . The total gross
value added from
tourism is 14.9 billion.

Foreign trade is an established
mechanism of the country, bringing
it great profits and world
recognition. The Swiss economy is
built, in particular, on significant
export volumes of industrial goods,
pharmaceuticals and food
products. The main partners are the
USA, EU countries, China, Japan.

BANKING AND FINANCE
Attracting foreign capital is one of the
main methods of development of the
state. Banks of Switzerland are
considered the most promising and
reliable. All cash transactions are carried
out using a special code.
The share of GDP of banks and
insurance companies in Switzerland is
10.5%.

INCOME AND WEALTH DISTRIBUTION
As of 2016, Switzerland had the
highest average wealth per
adult, at $561,900. The top 1%
richest persons own 35% of all the
wealth. The "net wealth" of
Switzerland was $5.4 trillion as
measured by the net worth of its
richest citizens. Among this group
are 740 super-rich people with
assets of at least $100 million.
