1. Research work The Moon is a satellite of the Earth
Done by:Lev Dergalyov
Class 2 B
Gymnasium №12
2. The aim is to explore the Moon – the only natural satellite of the Earth
Tasks:• Learn as many facts about the Moon and its
influence on the Earth as possible.
• To observe the changes of the Moon during
the lunar month.
3.
The object of the research is the Moon. The subject of the research is the
Moon as a satellite of the Earth.
4.
The relevance of the problem:The moon has an impact on the Earth
and its inhabitants
5.
The moon is the only naturalsatellite of the Earth
The moon is a stone ball. The Earth and
the Moon are kept in balance in their
orbits by the forces of mutual gravity.
6.
The first man to setfoot on the moon was
Neil Armstrong.
The whole world
remembers the words
of Neil Armstrong, "A
small step for man
and a big step for all
mankind."
7.
The influence of the Moon on manThe human body includes about 70% of water. And
therefore, our body obeys the elementary laws of
physics.
On the growing moon, a person feels a surge of
strength, optimism, willingness to cope with any
task and self-confidence. On the waning moon, on
the contrary, there is a decline in strength,
weakness, a desire to give up everything.
8.
The influence of the Moonon the World Ocean
The attraction of the Moon affects the Earth,
creating tides.
The tides are influenced by the position of the
Sun and Moon relative to the Earth and the effect
of their gravitational forces on the Ocean. There
are tides in the new moon, because it is at this
time that the Sun and Moon are on the same side
relative to the Earth.
9.
Children are especially affected by the fullmoon, so the main recommendations will be for
them.
It is not recommended during the full moon:
• read books about murders and ghosts
• play noisy games before going to bed
• watch action movies and horror stories
• go far from home
• attend noisy events, competitions that cause
great excitement
It is recommended to:
• take more walks before going to bed, ventilate
the room
10.
Survey resultsI conducted a survey among my classmates. The sample
consisted of 34 people.
The results of a survey of classmates are as follows:
Do you know what the Moon is
Yes – 32 (94%) No – 2 (6%)
Based on this, we conclude that most children know what
the Moon is.
Do you know the history of the Moon
Yes – 9 (27%) No – 25 (73%)
We conclude that not all children know about the origin of
the Moon.

СonclusionBased on the results of my observations,
I made the following conclusions:
1) The moon is a very convenient and interesting object
to study, as it is the planet closest to Earth.
2) The moon affects the Earth and all living beings
inhabiting our planet.
I learned that there is such a science - astronomy,
which studies stars, planets and satellites. I learned
how to get information from various sources: the
Internet, an encyclopedia, from the story of parents and
teachers.
