free independent of
England.

industries are aircraft, cars, textiles, radio
and television sets, armaments, furniture
and paper.

The USA is governed
by Congress and by
the President.
Congress consists of
the Senate (100 – 2
from each state) and
the House of
Representatives (435
Congressmen).
There are two main
political parties in the
USA: the Republican
and the Democratic.

New York is the city of
contrasts, financial and
business centre of the
USA.
Los Angeles is the second
city of the USA, the centre
of cinema industry.
Boston is the city of
colleges and universities.
Chicago is one of biggest
industrial cities in the USA.
Detroit is one of the
biggest centres of
automobile industry.
