was adopted, the Regeringsformen, which established the
separation of powers between the king and the Riksdag. This
act laid the foundations of modern Swedish constitutionalism.
· Freedom of the Press Act (1810, 1812): One of the first laws in
the world to guarantee freedom of the press. It is still part of
the Swedish constitution and prohibits censorship.
