WHAT IS MANHOOD? (Что такое мужественность)
State of being a man as distinguished from child or woman. The media shows manhood incorporates physical strength,
fierceness, courage, bravery and resolution. Different cultures define manhood differently.

Nations vary in age to define manhood

Maleness or sexuality does not determine manhood (Мужской пол или сексуальность не

Man can behave as children or women

WHAT IS BIBLICAL MANHOOD?

Biblical manhood is not about age, sexuality, dominance, power or cultural stereotypes, but becoming
who God created men to be. It is an acceptance of responsibility that man in knowing and obeying the
God of the bible, initiates and leads in his God-given responsibilities.

доминированием, властью или культурными стереотипами, а с тем, кем Бог создал мужчин.

At its core, biblical manhood is about reflecting God’s character as revealed in Jesus, lived out
faithfully in a man’s roles and responsibility.

who has given to us men. Unless and until, you come to this pivotal point in your life, through reflection or
examination of your purpose in life, you may run the risk of missing your God-ordained function.

“Work it” = to Produce/Provide –he bears fruit to provide the sustenance for his family

God held Adam responsible to guard the garden. From what? From the entrance of any beast in the
garden (Gen 2:20). Adam failed in his responsibility when the serpent entered the garden.

10. Adam’s Passive or Irresponsible Manhood (Russian)

ADAM’S TWO SINS OF OMISSION of his God-ordained responsibilities (guarding garden and protecting
Eve-deflecting responsibilities) resulted in a third sin, Eve’s sin of commission in eating the forbidden fruit

and keep (guard or protect) it.

The primary sin of man was the sin of omission. He was passive or delinquent. Adam’s sin of omission spread to
the sin of commission by Eve. People tend to think that the sin of omission as less serious than sins of
commissions. However, the bible shows the opposite.

distorted in and through sin. The curse of sin or disobedience to God brought about a distortion of previous roles.

what a man was meant to be.

Heavenly Father,
You gave me life and you chose that I be a

I thank you by my faith in Jesus my Saviour and
Lord, I am your child made in the image of
Christ. I choose to make the journey into my
Manhood, so I can be what You want me to be. I
choose to live for Your purposes and for Your
glory, and not to be a big child any more. I ask
you to restore me into the fullness of the image
of Christ.
I ask for Your Wisdom and Grace to empower
