• Antarctica, known as "The White Continent," is a vast frozen
landmass encircling the South Pole where centuries-old
glaciers, colossal icebergs, and endless pristine ice create one
of the most surreal and untouched landscapes on Earth.
• Antarctica cruises operate exclusively during the Antarctic
summer from November to March, when coastal areas become
accessible, with each month offering a distinct experience from
penguin courtship in November to dramatic iceberg formations
in March.
• There are three voyage styles the classic Drake Passage voyage
of 10–14 days from Ushuaia, the time-saving fly-cruise of 8–10
days flying directly to King George Island, and extended
expeditions of 18–23+ days combining Antarctica with South
Georgia and the Falkland Islands.

• Wildlife encounters are unlike anywhere else on Earth -
penguins in tens of thousands fearlessly approach visitors,
humpback whales breach beside Zodiac boats, leopard seals
lounge on floating ice, and wandering albatrosses with 3-metre
wingspans soar effortlessly overhead.
• All shore excursions are conducted in small Zodiac boats
carrying 10–12 passengers, giving intimate access to remote
penguin beaches and iceberg-filled channels, with optional
adventures like sea kayaking, overnight ice camping, polar
snorkelling, and snowshoeing available at extra cost.
• Pricing starts from USD 5,000 - 7,000 per person for a classic
voyage, rises to USD 8,000-15,000 for mid-range cabins with
operators like Quark and Aurora Expeditions, and reaches USD
20,000 and above for luxury experiences aboard Silversea or
Ponant.
• Booking 12–18 months in advance is essential as ships carry only
100–200 passengers under strict IAATO regulations, and most
packages include all meals, accommodation, naturalist lectures,
Zodiac landings, expedition boots, and often a complimentary
polar parka.
