Research (15 Minutes): Students work in groups to research what a petri
dish is and how it is used. Groups should find one image and write a twosentence summary of their findings.

Label: Students label the bottom (plastic side) of the dish with the site,
name, and date.

Store: Tape the dish and place it upside down in the "Invert Bin" for
