CORE PHILOSOPHY & EDUCATIONAL VALUE
Real-Time Creation Builds Practical Problem-Solving Skills
01. Make & Compete OnSite
Real-Time Problem
Solving
Standardized material kits are
issued on the morning of the
competition.
• No pre-made parts allowed into
the venue.
• Prevents outside adult
assistance.
• Tests students' real-time
adaptability, hands-on tool usage,
and engineering logic under
pressure.
02. iSTEAM Integration
03. Teamwork Under
Pressure
Hands-On Engineering
& Art
High-Intensity
Collaboration
Combines Science, Technology,
Engineering, Art, and Mathematics
into one complete project.
Student teams of 2 to 6 work
synchronously in a timed
environment.
• 90% Mechanism Performance:
Mechanical power, gear ratios,
and dynamic movement.
• 10% Aesthetic Design:
Storytelling, artistic crafting, and
biomimetic creativity.
• Division of labor: Sawing, gluing,
wiring, and testing.
• Fosters strong communication
and resilience.
• Encourages peer problemsolving when mechanical faults
occur.

SCORE & EVALUATION
Dynamic Performance Drives 90% of Score While Aesthetics Adds
10%
90% Dynamic Contest Scoring
• Task Completion:
Points earned according to task milestones (e.g., race
completion seconds, collected balls, obstacle steps climbed).
• Time Tie-Breaker:
When raw task scores are tied, teams with faster
completion time rank higher.
• Weight Tie-Breaker:
If both points and times are identical, heavier robot models
rank higher (rewards robust engineering).
• Battery Constraint:
Requires standard AA batteries (<= 1.5V). Rechargeable or
alkaline AA allowed. High-voltage 18650 / Lithium batteries
strictly prohibited!
10% Aesthetic Design Evaluation
• Storytelling (2.5%):
Creative theme, cultural storytelling integration, and clear A5
Work Description Card.
• Appearance (7.5% sub-part):
Color harmony, crafting neatness, proportion, and aesthetic
appeal.
• Eco-Friendliness (7.5% sub-part):
Inclusion and creative reuse of recycled eco-friendly
materials.
• Biomimicry & Effects:
Smooth biomimetic movement, integration of structure &
shape, optional light/sound effects (QR code video accepted).

TEACHER STRATEGY
A Three-Step Coaching Strategy Prepares Students for Success
STEP 1
School Selection &
Basics
Promote in STEM clubs or class
projects.
• Guide students to practice wood
board sawing, hot-glue assembly,
and gear box wiring.
• Select student candidates with
strong interest and hand-craft
patience.
STEP 2
Timed Mock Assembly
Conduct 3-hour timed simulation drills
under pressure.
• Establish clear team roles: 2
students handle sawing/gears, 2
focus on wiring & aesthetics.
• Train students to troubleshoot gear
slips and loose connections under
time limits.
STEP 3
Rule Inspection & Story
Final check on tools and storytelling.
• Prepare toolkits (anti-drill mats, glue
guns, safety glasses, AA batteries).
• Assist students in writing the A5
Work Card and recording a short
demo video for judges.
