Celts called the tribes of Indo-European origin in antiquity and at
the turn of the eras occupied a wide area in Western and Central
Europe. It was a very warlike people, who, in 390 BC, even
captured and sacked Rome. But civil wars weakened the warlike
people. In the end, the Germans and the Romans drove the Celts
from their lands.

The Celts began to migrate to Western Europe from
the East. In the IV century BC they fell upon Italy and
Greece, threatening to bury these States together with
their culture

When the Romans invaded Britain two of the largest tribes were ruled
by women who fought from their chariots. The most powerful Celt to
stand up to the Romans was a woman, Boadicea. She was tall, with long
red hair, and had a frightening appearance. She nearly drove them
from Britain, and she destroyed London, the Roman capital
