Pavers sport, yachting, sailing is an active water sport in
which athletes compete using sailing equipment installed mainly
on yachts. Sailing was most developed in those countries where
this sport was conveniently practiced based on geographical
location. Yachting originated in the Netherlands [1] in the XVI
century. The word "jaght" (formed, probably, from "jagen" - "to
drive", "to pursue") was first noted in the Dutch-Latin
dictionary of 1599.

Sailing is originally a water sport,
where competitions are held on ships or
sports equipment (for example, boards)
that move under the force of the wind.
Such vessels are called yachts. But now
sailing can be practiced not only in
summer on the water, but also in winter
on the ice. Conduct sailing
competitions in the winter on the
shells, put on skates or skis. Such
yachts are called buaters.

The first sailing races were organized
between the English courts - "tea clippers".
Tea was then taken from India to England.

could sell the brought tea more than
anyone.

The most prestigious sailing competitions among large
yachts are considered to be the America's Cup
competition. At these competitions, technology, large
syndicates compete, and the winner of the Cup
determines the class of yachts for the next cycle of
the Cup. As a result of scientific, technical and
technological research during the race for the
America's Cup, many new technologies and materials
have appeared, which are now successfully used in
aerospace and other industries.
In the Olympic program, sailing competitions first
appeared at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris and
since then have been included in the program of each
subsequent Games.
