International Association for Computational Mechanics
In 1981 IACM was formally established. The General and Executive
Councils were confirmed and the Constitution approved. With the
Constitution giving equal emphasis to the three geographical Regions of
the Americas, Europe-Middle East-Africa and Asia-Australia, a rotation of
such World Congresses between the regions on a two year cycle was
established.

Currently, there are 27 affiliated organizations, representing 35
different countries from worldwide.

Nordic Association for Computational Mechanics (NoACM)
represents the interest for the following countries in the International Association
for Computational Mechanics (IACM): The Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland,
Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and the Baltic countries: Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
The Nordic Seminar on Computational Mechanics (NSCM) is organised annually
by the NoACM and the first event was held at Chalmers University in Gothenburg,
Sweden in 1988.
