The Netherlands consists of
twelve provinces, among which
the most famous are North and
South Holland. Because of this,
many people call it Holland.

The flag of the Netherlands has
three сolors:red-the spilled blood
of the warriors,white-freedom and
independence,blue-the sea and
belonging to the sea powers.

The coat of the Netherlands depicts a
crowned lion holding a silver sword in
its right paw and seven arrows in its
left. The shield is crowned with a
royal crown and supported by two
lions. The motto is “I will stand up”

historical cities in Europe.
