people, who make films, the biggest film
companies in Hollywood and the genres
of the cinema.

Cinema plays a very important role in our life.
A lot of people go to the cinema. It is the best way to spend free time
and it is very popular with people of all ages.
Cinema is much younger than theatre. It was born in the nineteenth
century.
Lumiere brothers shot their first three- minute film about a train arrival
to the railway station. They showed it to public in December 1896 in
Paris. Since then the era of cinematography has begun.
The first films showed moving people and transport .
They were silent and black-and-white.

History of cinematography
Arrival of a Train at La Ciotat (The Lumière Brothers,
1896)
• The inventors of the cinema were the French. The Lumiere brothers
invented the first film projector and motion camera in 1895. That year
on the 28th of December they demonstrated the first three minutes
film “Arrival of the Train”. In that film, a train came towards the
camera. People ran out of the cinema, thinking it was a real train.

In that film, a train came towards the camera. People
ran out of the cinema, thinking it was a real train. It
