repeat the words from the task).
• 2. An overview sentence (you can mention the number of steps and the
initial and final stages).
• 3. Divide your description into 2-3 logical paragraphs.
• 4. NO conclusion!!!

How to write an introductory paragraph
1. Paraphrase the sentence from the task describing the process
- the diagram (the picture, the flowchart, the set of pictures)
- show, illustrate, explain, highlight, describe, depict
the steps (stages) involved in the process of….
how (something) works (is produced)
2. Write an overview sentence
- the process includes (consists of) ….steps (stages) from … to … (list
the first and the last steps or stages)
• Ex. The diagram includes 10 steps from growing tomatoes to eating a readymade product.
