Last summer my family andI went on a journey to the
natural attractions of my
home town. Almaty is still
the major commercial and
cultural
centre
of
Kazakhstan, as well as its
most populous and most
cosmopolitan city. The city
is
located
in
the
mountainous
area
of
southern Kazakhstan near
the border with Kyrgyzstan
in the foothills of the
Zailiysky Alatau.
I would like to tell you
more about my journey...
3.
My plans of the journeyMission 1. Visit
the Big Almaty
Lake. Enjoy the
nature around
him and have a
picnic.
Mission 2. Visit
Kolsai National
Park. Walk to
Butakovsky
Waterfall. Stand
under an open
waterfall.
4.
Big Almaty Lake is an incrediblybeautiful place. This is a real lagoon in
the mountains. The view is fascinating.
We went there by bus.
It
took
about
40
minutes to get from the
centre of the city to
the lake. Every tourist
should visit this place.
Here we took a lot of
good photos and just
had
a
great
time.
However, due to the
prohibition to have a
picnic
near
natural
sites, we were not able
to have a picnic.
5.
By the way, one interesting fact about this place. The water in the lakecan change colour depending on the time of the year, for example, in the
summer the colour can be bright blue, in the autumn it can be light green.
6.
Kolsai National Park is one of thenatural pearls of Kazakhstan. The
nature of this place and the lake
itself are fascinating. The air is
filled with the aroma of rich green
meadows. I was struck by the rich
vegetation of this place and the calm
turquoise waters of Lake Kaindy. The
main attraction of the lake are the
spruces, rising straight from the
water. Near this lake are ancient
caves with sheer cliffs.
7.
The last natural attraction of ourtrip
was
Butakovsky
Falls.
Butakovsky waterfall is one of the
most beautiful places in Zailiysky
Alatau. It is located in Butakovsky
Gorge. The beauty of this waterfall
is amazing. Despite the not very
warm weather, I still decided to
stand under the waterfall. It was
very difficult to hold out there for
more than ten seconds. The feeling
is that you are pierced through and
through by a million needles and so
I very quickly ran out from under
the waterfall. However, after a
few minutes, I felt a surge of
strength
and
vigour.
This
experience I will not forget for a
long time.
