Company history
In 1934, the company produced its
first Type A engine, which was used in
the first model of the A1 passenger car
in May 1935 and in the G1 truck in
August 1935. Production of the AA
passenger car began in 1936. Early
models resembled pre-existing Dodge
Power Wagon and Chevrolet models.In
Japan itself, the cars of this
manufacturer were the best-selling.
So, in 1992, Toyota accounted for 40%
of cars owned by the population.
