Enzo was born on February 18, 1898 in
Modena, Italy. In the biography of Enzo
Ferrari, cars have always held a place of
honor. Since 1919, he began to take part in
auto racing (first Parma-Berceto). Then he
became a test pilot for Alfa Romeo. After
many years of fruitful work, Enzo was
appointed Director of the sports division.
However, the position did not become the
limit for the active, hungry for speed and
victories of Ferrari.

1929, a major event occurred in the
biography of Ferrari – he founded his
own society "Scuderia Ferrari". Even
before Ferrari started designing cars,
he dreamed of the racing achievements
of his team. And they were not long in
coming. One of the best was the driver
Tazio Nuvolari. For the first time in the
biography of Enzo Ferrari, his team
took part in Formula 1 in 1950. The
following year, the team won the
competition (the victory was won by
Hoss Froilan Gonzales).
