Preschool education in China.

years are accepted there. There are about 150 thousand
kindergartens in the country. Kindergartens are divided into public
and private.

Primary education in China
• Primary education is provided to children in six-year comprehensive
primary schools with a full day of study. The curriculum includes such
subjects as moral education, Chinese language, politics, history,
geography, physics, chemistry, biology, physical education, music, art,
work skills, etc. Children who have graduated from primary school can
enter secondary schools at their place of residence without admission
exams.

Secondary eductaion in China
• General secondary education is offered by general secondary schools. The
training is divided into two stages. Secondary schools of the 1st stage provide
incomplete secondary education. The term of study in them is three years. At this
stage, the nine-year compulsory education ends.Secondary schools of the 2nd
stage provide full secondary education, after which graduates can continue their
studies at universities. Upon graduation, students take a final exam, the results of
which determine their chances of enrolling in a particular university. In the field
of secondary education, departmental restrictions on the admission of foreign
students still apply. In particular, not all schools in China have the right to accept
foreign students for study, only leading schools, the so-called key-school, have
such a right.

education takes three to four years.
• Secondary vocational schools accept persons with incomplete secondary education (after the general school of the first stage),
that is, persons who have completed the stage of compulsory 9-year education. Education in schools of this level takes three to
four years. Graduates of professional schools are ready to start professional activity in their specialty.
• Professional educational institutions of the highest level accept persons with a full secondary education (after graduation from the
second stage of school). The task of educational institutions of this level is to train comprehensively developed qualified specialists
in their field. Training programs take two to three years. Graduates of secondary specialized institutions of the highest category
have the right to start professional activity or enter general universities to obtain a bachelor's degree.

competitions in individual universities reach 200-300 people per place.
