sky, turning it into a telescope, and received new scientific
data. He invented his telescope in 1609. With his help, he
discovered mountains on the moon, and then made the
world's first map of the lunar surface. With the help of his
invention, he also discovered four moons of Jupiter,
discovered that the Milky Way consists of many stars,
discovered a spot on the Sun and its rotation, the phases of

his telescope such wide popularity that he even established
the production of telescopes.
