Phonics
Phonics- is a method of teaching children to read
by linking sounds (phonemes) and the symbols
(graphemes) that represent them.
-We teach children to listen carefully and identify
the phonemes that make up the words.

Why we teach phonics?
-To help children to learn how to read

--To pronounce sounds correctly

We teach the sounds NOT the letter name

We teach the sounds in
the order of
frequency.
