HIP-HOP
• Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles, mainly accompanied by hip-hop music
and the one that developed as part of hip-hop culture. It includes a wide range of
styles, such as breakdancing, locking, popping, which were created in 1970 and
became popular in the USA thanks to dance teams.

BALLET
• Ballet (French ballet, from Italian. ballare — to dance) is a kind of stage art; a
performance, the content of which is embodied in musical and choreographic images.
The classical ballet performance is based on a certain plot, dramatic idea, libretto, in
the XX century a plotless ballet appeared, the dramaturgy of which is based on the
development laid down in music.

FOLK DANCES
• A folk dance is a dance that reflects the life of the people of a certain country or region.
Not all ethnic dances are folk dances. For example, ritual dances or dances of ritual
origin are not considered to be folk dances. Ritual dances are usually called "Religious
dances" because of their purpose. The terms "ethnic" and "traditional" are used when it
is required to emphasize the cultural roots of the dance. In this sense, nearly all folk
dances are ethnic ones.
