2.
As we know, the Russian Federation or Russiais a multinational democratic sovereign state.
The Russian Federation includes more than
100 different peoples living in the territories
of 85 constituent entities of the Russian
Federation.
Customs are understood as rules of conduct
enshrined in a particular society and
observed by force of habit. Sometimes
customs are passed on to the next generation
and are already called traditions.
Consider the customs of the most numerous
peoples living in our country.
3.
RussiansThe age of Russian traditions fluctuates
between seven and ten centuries. From time
immemorial, the family had the main eldest
man who had to provide for his large family.
Although it is worth noting that all family
members worked. Children, and there were
usually many of them, were taught to work
from a very early age. Everyone worked hard
and together. They rested mostly on holidays.
Many holidays that have come down to us are
taken from both Christianity and pagan cults.
4.
National holidays of the Russian peopleThe national holidays of the Russian
people include: Christmas (the birth of
Jesus Christ), Epiphany (the day when
Christ was baptized), Maslenitsa (a
pagan holiday marked by the burning of
an effigy and seeing off winter), Easter
(the day of the resurrection of Christ),
Ivan Kupala (the holiday of the summer
solstice, a tribute fertile time when
people jumped over the fire and sang
songs), wedding (matchmaking,
engagement, bachelorette party,
wedding, etc.).
5.
TatarsThe dominant religion of this people is
Islam, hence the many Muslim holidays and
way of life. The most famous religious
holiday is Eid al-Adha (sacrifice and
distribution of alms), Mawlid (a holiday in
honor of the birth of Muhammad), Navruz
(a day when everyone has fun until you
drop, because the more joyfully you spend
this day, the more gifts will be from nature).
6.
Times when paganism reignedTatars had times when paganism
dominated. One of the brightest
customs was Yangyr Teleu (everyone
gathered at a water source,
performed a sacrificial ritual and
poured water over it).
The Sabantuy holiday personified
the end of winter and the onset of
spring and the beginning of
agricultural work.
7.
BashkirsFor a long time, the Bashkirs led a
nomadic lifestyle. However, closer to the
nineteenth century, they began to settle
and mastered agriculture. In honor of this
people was polygamy. all major holidays
among the Bashkirs are celebrated mainly
in spring and summer. So, Kargatuy is
celebrated in spring in honor of the
arrival of rooks (previously only women
and children were allowed to participate
in this holiday).

The Jiin holiday implied theparticipation of several villages at once.
during such festivities, it was customary
to trade with might and main, to
negotiate the marriage of children.
Also among the Bashkirs, in addition to
traditional Islamic holidays, there is a
custom of mutual assistance Kaz
umakhe. People helped each other in
preparation for winter (preparation of
carcasses of birds).
