The most terrible mistake is to believethat pedagogy is the science of a child,
and not about a person.
Know and educate yourself,
Before raising children.
July 22, 1878 – August 6,
1942
Korczak's activities before the
First World War:
• In 1901, his "Street Children"
appeared – a story about street
children.

libraries.

Education and self-education«Orphan House».
Korczak considered the main thing that the child should be brought up by the
child's environment in which he is. All children's self-government was based on
this. Every pupil in the "Orphan House“ knew that he was being looked at from
the outside, and therefore, before doing anything, he thought.
4.
The purpose of education• "to provide children with freedom of harmonious development of all
spiritual forces, to release the fullness of hidden possibilities, to
educate in respect for goodness, beauty, freedom"
5.
The influence of Janusz Korczak• Janusz Korczak replaced the children's
father and mother. The pupil, torn out of
poverty, wrote to Korczak about the
"Orphan House" in his mature years:"If
it weren't for this house, I wouldn't
know that there are kind and honest
people in the world who don't steal. I
wouldn't have known it was possible to
tell the truth. I wouldn't know that there
is justice in the world."
