The British are polite and well-mannered
people. They are practical and realistic. The
British people are considered to be the world’s
greatest tea drinkers. Every Englishman is said
to be a countryman at heart. They stands for
freshness, for leisure, fun and games.
The English are reputed to have a good sense
of humour.
The Scotts are rather kind, but at first glance not as
friendly as the English perhaps. They like extremes.
Sometimes, they seem to be gloomy and grey.
The Welsh are an emotional people but
sometimes reserved.
In the Northern Ireland everything moves slowly, and people are usually not much in a hurry.
Most of the Irish are considered to be stubborn and very superstitious. Another national feature is
that they are desperately afraid of being laughed at.

Royal Family & Government
The UK is a constitutional monarchy with a parliament and the King
as Head of State. The King of the UK is Charles III. But it is ruled
by the Prime Minister and the government. The legislative body is
the Parliament which consists of the House of Lords and the House
of Commons.

Transport
Taxi in the UK is called a cab, black cab, hack or London taxi.
The typical bus in London is a red double-decker. The world's first
underground line was opened between Baker St. and the City in
1863. Now there are eleven underground lines and 272 underground
stations in use. The London underground is also called the Tube.
