The London Eye is one of
the largest Ferris wheels in
the world, located in the
Lambed area of London on
the south bank of the
Thames. From a height of
135 meters (approximately
45 floors) you can see
almost the entire city. The
Ferris Wheel was designed
by architects David Marks
and Julia Barfield and won a
competition to celebrate
the new millennium. The
implementation of the
project took six years.

Initially, it was a risky project, the creators of which for a
long time could not find an investor to bring their idea to
life, but now this building is rightfully considered one of
the modern wonders of the world. The formal opening of
the London Eye was carried out by Prime Minister Tony
Blair on December 31, 1999, but for technical reasons it
was not opened to visitors until March 2000. Since its
opening, it has become the most popular attraction and is
visited by about a million tourists every year. And it
turned into a venue for city and public holidays. And also
thousands of couples in love have chosen and regularly
spend romantic dates here and confess their love to each
other.
