Pushkin was born on May 29, 1799 in
Moscow. He was the eldest son in a family
of 4 children, father and mother. From 6
years old Pushkin studied French, and
also learned to read and read everything
that was in his father’s library. At the age
of 12 he entered the Tsarskoye Selo
Lyceum. From an early age, the poet was
interested in literature, and already wrote
his first poems.

As an adult, Pushkin actively wrote
poems, fairy tales and novels. In the
spring of 1823, in the city of Chisinau,
Pushkin begins work on the famous
novel "Eugene Onegin", which he
finishes only 7 years later.

Pushkin's work created the
emergence of the modern
Russian language. Thanks to
him, literary and colloquial
languages came closer together.
On January 27, 1837, he died
during a duel.
