качество предмета (a small part)

Причастия
Различать – по оттенку значения.
Причастие – что-то среднее между глаголом и прилагательным,
наречием.
Герундий – это нечто среднее между глаголом и существительным.

В функции определения:
1) Перед определяемым словом:
A shining star
A dancing girl
A crying baby

2) После определяемого слова:
The stars shining in the dark sky seem blue.
(перевод: причастие действительного залога с суффиксами -щий,)

(перевод: причастие действительного залога с суффиксами -вший)

Перевод: деепричастие несовершенного вида (что делая?)
Translating the article he consulted the dictionary.
После союзов When / While
Перевод: деепричастным оборотом/придаточным предложением
“когда… / в то время как …”

1) Перед определяемым словом:
The injured man was taken to hospital.
2) После определяемого слова:
The theatre built in the last century need reconstruction.
(перевод: причастие страдательного залога с суффиксами
-нный, -емый, -тый)
В функции обстоятельства
После if / unless / when
Перевод:
безличным
обстоятельственным
придаточным
предложением
When asked this question, the student could not answer it at once.

Participle I Indefinite Passive
1) В функции определения
-> перевод: причастие наст.вр. Или определительгым придаточным
предложением:
The bridge being built across the river is going to be beautiful.
2) В функции обстоятельства (времени, причины)
-> перевод: обстоятельственным придаточным предложением:
Being built of wood the bridge could not carry heavy loads.

Perfect Participle Active
->перевод: дееприч. соверш.вида:
Having finished the experiment the students left the laboratory.
Perfect Participle Passive
- В функции обстоятельства (времени, причины)
-> обстоятельственным придаточным предложением

known all over the world.

The absolute participle construction
-> если оборот предшествует главным членам предложения, то
перевод: придаточным обстоятельственным предложением,
начинающимся союзами если, так как, когда, после того как …
His father being very ill, he had to send for the doctor.
-> перевод: сложносочинённым предложением с союзами причём,
а , и, но, когда:
Manager having left the room, the worker declared his discontent.

Translate into Russian
1. A simple component having failed, the whole cable system was repaired.
