Rock Cashel or St. Patrick's Rock is a dilapidated castle of the XII XIII centuries in the town of
Cashel in the county of South Tipperary in Ireland.
According to local legends, the hill where the castle stands served as the residence of local rulers
for several hundred years before the Norman invasion. The legend that St. Patrick converted to
Christianity here (5th century AD) made Cashel a place of pilgrimage.

Kilkenny Castle is a 12th century castle in the Irish city of Kilkenny, on the banks of the River Nore, built
by William Marshall, 1st Earl of Pembroke. The castle was the main residence of the Butler family in
Ireland for 600 years, until in 1967 Arthur Butler, 6th Marquess of Ormond, handed over the castle to
the municipal authorities[1].
