CHELYABINSK, LOCATED IN THE SOVETSKY

AND PLEKHANOV STREETS. THE FOUNDING
DATE OF THE SCHOOL IS CONSIDERED TO
BE THE OPENING OF THE CURRENT
BUILDING, BUILT IN 1935; IN FACT, THE
SCHOOL HAS EXISTED SINCE 1922 .

HISTORY OF SCHOOL NO. 121 IN CHELYABINSK THE SCHOOLOPENED IN 1935 AS SCHOOL NO. 1 OF THE SOUTH URAL
RAILWAY, IN 1962 IT WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE
SUBORDINATION OF THE CITY DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC
EDUCATION, THE SCHOOL NUMBER WAS CHANGED TO 121
(THERE WAS ALREADY SCHOOL NO. 1 IN THE CITY), IN 1967,
FOLLOWING THE RESULTS OF SOCIALIST COMPETITION,
THE SCHOOL WAS ASSIGNED NAME OF THE 50TH
ANNIVERSARY OF THE GREAT OCTOBER REVOLUTION. IN
1972–1977, THE SCHOOL WAS RECONSTRUCTED; IN 1983,
THE SCHOOL WAS AWARDED THE TITLE OF AN INSTITUTION
OF HIGH WORK CULTURE. IN 1985 A MUSEUM OF THE
SCHOOL'S HISTORY HAS BEEN OPENED.

IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE 1990S, AN EXPERIMENTWAS LAUNCHED ON SPECIALIZED TRAINING FOR
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS (GENERAL EDUCATION,
HUMANITIES, PHYSICS AND MATHEMATICS, AND
CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL AREAS).

1960 THE SCHOOL EXPANDS AND AN EXTENSIONAPPEARS. 1962 THE 1ST RAILWAY SCHOOL IS
TRANSFERRED TO THE JURISDICTION OF THE
CHELYABINSK GORONO AND BECOMES SECONDARY
SCHOOL 121.

1967 THE SCHOOL IS NAMED AFTER THE 50THANNIVERSARY OF THE GREAT OCTOBER
REVOLUTION FOLLOWING THE RESULTS OF
SOCIALIST COMPETITION. 1972-1977 THE SCHOOL
IS CHANGING ITS APPEARANCE AGAIN, THE
SCHOOL IS BEING RECONSTRUCTED. 1983 THE
SCHOOL WAS AWARDED THE TITLE OF AN
INSTITUTION OF HIGH WORK CULTURE.

DURING THE WAR YEARS, 22 GRADUATES OF OURSCHOOL DIED. NIKOLAI TERENTIEVICH KRAEV BECAME
A HERO OF THE SOVIET UNION. 18 STUDENTS FROM THE
SCHOOL RETURNED TO SCHOOL, BUT AS TEACHERS.

THERE ARE 16 HONORED TEACHERS IN OUR SCHOOL.WHAT WE LOVE MOST AND MOST OFTEN DO IS
SPORTS, TOURISM, GOING TO THEATERS, HOLDING
CONTESTS AND COMPETITIONS, AND CONSTANTLY
TAKING PART IN OLYMPIADS. 1935-1997 THE SCHOOL
GRADUATED 5,580 STUDENTS, INCLUDING 200 GOLD
MEDALISTS AND 17 SILVER MEDALISTS.
