Krasnoyarsk is famous for many things: famous
people, historical events, open spaces and
attractions. A significant part is also occupied by
higher education, which can be obtained in our city.
Today I would like to talk about some educational
institutions.

Siberian Federal University
Siberian Federal University is a multidisciplinary
research and educational cluster, the largest
university in Eastern Siberia, established in 2006
by merging four largest universities in Krasnoyarsk
Territory.
SibFU is one of the fastest growing young
universities and is the only representative of
Russian higher education among the world's best
millennial universities according to Times Higher
Education in
2022.
Today, the university is integrated into all processes of technological, economic, social and cultural
development of Krasnoyarsk Territory and Siberian macro-region, and has a significant impact on the
dynamics.

Dmitri Horostovsky Siberian State
Academy of Arts
Dmitri Horostovsky Siberian State Academy of Arts is a state
institution of higher education and the largest creative, science,
resource and training centre in the sphere of musical, dramatic,
decorative art as well as arts and crafts in Russia from Ural to
the Far East.
The university has a rich history. It was opened in accordance
with the
Resolution of the RSFSR Cabinet Council Nº 529 dated October
19, 1977 in the system of the RSFSR Ministry of Culture and
began work in 1978. Initially, the structure of the university
included three faculties: Musical Faculty, Theatrical Faculty and
Visual Arts Faculty. Later, in 1987, Visual Arts Faculty was
established as an independent educational institution Krasnoyarsk State Art Institute.

Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical
University
Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University is the oldest
university in Krasnoyarsk Krai. Currently, Krasnoyarsk State
Pedagogical University named after V.P. Astafyev is one of
the leading pedagogical universities in Siberia and the Far
East. It was one of the first pedagogical universities in
Russia in 1993 to receive the high status of a university. In
2004, the university was named after the outstanding
Russian writer V.P. Astafyev, an honorary professor of KSPU
and its great moral patron. KSPU noticeably differs from
other (mainly technical) universities in Krasnoyarsk not only
in its history, but also in the wide variety of forms and
methods of teaching, training and education of students
aimed at mastering a wide range of cultural values and
social and personal competencies necessary for their future
successful work in a modern school.
