Description of the accident
Lessons Learned
At around 17:30 on the afternoon of April 9, 2025, nomac personnel entered the elevator and
began to descend the tower. At around 17:40, the elevator descended slowly and its power
cord became entangled with the wire rope. The personnel did not stop the elevator in time
and it continued to descend, causing the power cord of the elevator to break and then trigger
an emergency stop. Afterwards, the personnel at the bottom of the tower immediately turned
off the elevator circuit breaker, and the nomac personnel transferred from the elevator to the
ladder to descend the tower. No one was injured.
1. When riding in an elevator, do not shake violently or walk back and forth in the
elevator
2. When the elevator cable breaks, disconnect the power supply immediately to
prevent secondary accidents
3. When personnel notice any abnormality, they should stop the elevator from
continuing to operate immediately, find out the cause and solve it before
proceeding to the next step.
