An article must be organized in a proper
way so as to draw the attention of the
readers. The basic outline for an article
writing format is:
Introduction (you should start your article
in an interesting way (address your
readers – ask them a direct question)

Body (the main part of the article, 2 – 3
paragraphs)
- Use opinion adverbs to introduce your points:
Personally, Obviously, Unfortunately, Hopefully etc.
- When you change the topic, start with a new
paragraph
- Use an informal and lively style

Conclusion (Ending paragraph of the
article with the opinion or
recommendation, anticipation or an
appeal)

Give a real-life example to talk about
personal experience.
Choose a neutral or informal style,
depending on the audience.
Ask rhetorical questions to get your
readers` attention.
Re-read the article and check for
mistakes (vocabulary, grammar, spelling,
punctuation). Count the number of
words!
