OVERVIEW
In today’s English classrooms, teachers need new approaches
to make learning more active and meaningful.
I have tried two innovative methods in my lessons:
1. Learning by Teaching
2. Pre-teaching Vocabulary
Both methods aim to increase student participation and
comprehension.

LEARNING BY TEACHING
EXPLANATION
This method means that students become teachers.
They study a grammar or vocabulary topic in advance
and then explain it to their classmates or to the
teacher.
By teaching others, they understand the material more
deeply and remember it longer.
The teacher acts as a guide and observer.

RESULTS AND BENEFITS
In my class, I gave students a grammar topic and asked
them to teach it to me.
As a result, they became more confident and motivated.
They remembered the rules better and could use them
correctly in exercises.
This method develops communication, critical thinking, and
responsibility.

PRE-TEACHING VOCABULARY
EXPLANATION
Pre-teaching vocabulary means introducing and learning
important words before reading a text or doing a task.
It helps students understand the context and focus on
meaning rather than decoding new words.
It is especially useful for IELTS Reading practice.

RESULTS AND BENEFITS
I prepared a vocabulary list before the reading test and
asked students to learn it.
When they knew the words in advance, their reading
comprehension and accuracy improved significantly.
They spent less time guessing and more time analyzing
ideas.
This method increases reading speed and confidence.
