Sam’s New School
Sam had recently moved to a new city with his family. The city was
much bigger than the small town they used to live in. Sam missed his
old friends, but he was also excited about making new ones. On his first
day at the new school, Sam felt nervous. The school was huge, and there
were so many students. He spent most of the day getting to know his
new classmates and teachers.
During lunch, Sam sat alone at first, but soon, a boy named Max joined
him. Max was friendly and introduced Sam to some other kids. They all
talked about their favorite hobbies, and Sam discovered that he and Max
both loved playing soccer. After school, they went to the playground and
played soccer with some other kids. Sam was happy to have made a new
friend so quickly.
By the end of the week, Sam felt more comfortable at his new school.
He had made several new friends and even joined the school soccer
team. Though he still missed his old town, Sam was starting to feel at
home in the new city.

The Grand Canyon
Last summer, I visited the Grand Canyon for the first time. It is one of
