2. SOME главным образом употребляется в утвердительных предложениях

положительный ответ: I’ve made some

– Можно мне воды, пожалуйста?

4. ANY употребляется в вопросительных и отрицательных предложениях

Are there any letters for me? – Для меня
есть письма?
Is there any milk in the fridge? – В
холодильнике есть молоко?
There aren’t any letters for you. – Для
тебя нет писем.
There isn’t any milk in the fridge. – В
холодильнике нет молока.

5. ANY в утвердительных предложениях имеет значения:

Любой
Обычный
Неважно какой
I need a knife. Any knife would do.
Мне нужен нож. Любой нож
подойдёт.

!!! В английском предложении
может быть только одно
отрицание, поэтому no сочетается
с положительной формой глагола:
There are no buses after midnight. =
There aren’t any buses after midnight.
– После полуночи автобусы не ходят.
