We use Past Continuous to talk about:
actions that were in progress at a
specific time in the past;
long actions interrupted by a short one;
Subject + Was/Were + V-ing
Subject + Was/Were + not + V-ing
Was/Were + Subject + V-ing?
I was doing
homework at 6 p.m.
He was watching TV
when I called.
