• Abstract Systems: Concepts, theories, such as mathematical
and ecomomic models, formulas, or computer software
code.
By origin/nature
• Natural Systems: Exist in nature without human
intervention, such as ecosystems or the solar system.
• Man-Made (Artificial) Systems: Created by humans for
specific purposes, such as transport, social, economic or
information systems.

what is acceptable or expected (social control)
Goal-Oriented:
Social systems are organized to achieve specific goals, such as survival, adaptation to the
environment, or the integration of members.
Adaptation:
Systems are constantly changing, adapting to new conditions (environment)
