The idea of the helicopter isn't
new, back in 400 AD, in China,
there was a toy that could fly up or
down.

Leonardo Da Vinci also made a
model of a helicopter-like
device (an aerial screw) in
1475.

But people could bring it to life only on August 24, 1907.
The first real helicopter rose 50 centimeters into the air.
Its weight was 578 kg.
That helicopter was created
by the Breguet brothers.
Louis Charles Breguet (I haven't found a photograph
of his brother, Jacques Eugene Henri Breguet).

However, though the first tries were made, the
development of helicopters did not stop.
In 1922,
George
Botezat in
the USA
created the
first
MANAGED
helicopter.
It rose 5 meters into
the air with a load

Now helicopters are cooler than before
Some of them can carry
more than 20 tonnes (Mi26)
Some of them are equipped
with a huge amount of
weapons (Ka-52 "Alligator")
