How to get the most out of your training:
Be enthusiastic
Ask questions and pass on your experience
Say what you think
Be patient with other members of the training
But most of all
HAVE FUN

Tiller Arm Lock Bypass
Truck applies brake when tiller arm is
vertical or
horizontal
TALB overrides the vertical and horizontal stop
and alouws driving in slow speed

20. AC Technology

The Advantages of AC
• More efficiency
• More torque
• Better and easier to control – less
damages, more profitability
• Less need for service – no carbon
brushes

21.

Traction Controller
Three main component group:
• Control Logic (circuit board)
• Power Part (MOS-FET’s and Capacitors)
• Feedback system (Encoder Bearing)

27.

TRACTION SYSTEM
CLOSED LOOP FEEDBACK
The controller determines
the rotating speed of the
motor by counting the
pulses produced by the
encoder. The faster the
motor turns the more
pulses are generated within
the monitoring period .
The rotating direction of
the motor is determined by
comparing the signals of
the two channels. The
motors turning direction
causes one of the signals to
lead while the other lags.

CONSOLE
FUNCTION OF THE CONSOLE
The console is used for:
1. Setting of parameters
2. Navigating the parameter list
3. Monitoring actual drive conditions
4. Displaying faults
5. Monitoring of inputs and outputs
6. Displaying time counter
7. Save and load total parameter sets

36.

CONSOLE
CONNECTING THE CONSOLE
The console must be
connected to
connector X7 of the
controller.
If the truck is
equipped with a
display unit, this is
connected to
connector X7.
The display unit
must be disconnected
to enable connecting
the console to X7.

37.

CONSOLE
NAVIGATING THE PARAMETER LIST
SIX CONSOLE KEYS
1. Up and down arrows – Scroll through
parameters
2. Left and right arrows – Editing
modifiable parameters
3. Enter key- Store changed values and
exit editing mode
4. Escape key- Exit editing mode without
storing value.

38.

PARAMETER
NAVIGATING THE PARAMETER LIST
1. Diagnostic parameters
2. Modifiable parameters

39.

PARAMETER
PARAMETER 251: PROGRAM THROTTLE
This parameter is used to program the voltage
range of the accelerator into the controller.
This procedure is necessary after a new
controller or accelerator unit is installed.
PROGRAMMING:
1.
Scroll to the Program throttle parameter
2.
Press either left or right key to activate
cursor.
3.
Press upward key to change value to “1”
4.
Press enter to initiate the programming
procedure.
5.
Start programming
a) Move accelerator slowly to maximum
forward
b) Hold for a second
c) Move it slowly to maximum backward
d) Hold for a second
e) Return to neutral position
If the programming was successful, the
parameter value will return to “0”.

40.

CONTROLLER FAULTS
ERRORS
When an error occurs:
•The status LED flashes in
a particular sequence. The
sequence depends on error
type.
AL 3
•Display unit displays the
numerical error code.
